Research Inititive for Minority Students (RIMS)

The QCC Bridges Program supports and encourages student research in it's RIMS Program.

This is in partnership with Queens College, York College, and NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Mentors from these institutions provide supervision for qualified minority students.

Student activities and benefits:

  • Work closely with a faculty mentor
  • Gain solid research experience
    • part-time during the academic year
    • full-time in the summer
  • Receive individualized counseling and academic support
  • Develop and improve communication skills through presentations and attending regional and/or national conferences
  • Build a resume and cultivate references
